After two days of being absent in his show Wowowee, Willie Revillame appeared at the later part of the show to explain what really happened on August 20 controversy on the new game Wilyonaryo. His absence made his fans and the follower of Wowowee wonder what happened to Willie. For the meantime, John Lloyd Cruz replaced Willie. This afternoon, he explained by details on the said "design flaw" of the new game show. He also asked for forgiveness to Joey de Leon, for their "word-war" this past days. He also hopes that this will be the end of the doubts of the public, especially those people who are thinking that cheating did happened.

The fans were so happy when he announced that he will be back tomorrow in Wowowee. Well, Wowowee is definitely not complete without Willie.

Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN head for TV Production, issued a statment regarding the Wowowee controversial. Here's her statement:

"We launched a new game segment in 'Wowowee' titled Wilyonaryo. On the second day of its launch (August 20), we discovered a design flaw. There were two numbers in the same wheel, which became subject to questioning. On the next day, we corrected the flaw. While the design of the game may be flawed, we have no intention to manipulate results, but rather to add excitement and suspense,"

"Unfortunately, a game show can experience glitches in its initial stages of development. But we wish to assure the public that we would increase our vigilance in the development of our games in the protection of public interest,"

"We assure the public that all games and contests in 'Wowowee' are executed with transparency, fairness, and honesty. 'Wowowee' will continue to give cheer, help, and fulfill the dreams of millions of viewers around the world,"

"We never intended to fool our public. Rest assured that in ABS-CBN we are always guided by our values of honesty and integrity. Nandito po kami para magpasaya ng aming televiewers, ng mga Pilpino sa buong mundo at magbigay ng katuparan sa mga pangarap,".

Joey de Leon also had his chance to talk to his audience in Eat Bulaga ( where he is one of the hosts) regarding Willie's statement days ago. Please see HERE

"Mga kaibigan, 'pag ang bata po nadapa, tinatanong natin 'Bakit?' 'Pag nauntog, 'Bakit?' Kung buong Pilipinas pa, buong masang Pilipino at mga mahihirap na sumasali at umaasa lang sa mga ganitong palaro at may nangyaring ganoon, hindi ba karapatan din niyang magtanong, 'Bakit? Bakit nagkaganoon?'"

"Hindi pa po pinapaliwanag nitong taong ito (Revillame) bakit nagkagulo-gulo. Bakit hindi na lang lumabas iyong dos? Bakit mayroong zero muna? Iyon po ang nasa YouTube at sa kung anu-ano pa,"

"Bakit hindi niyo muna ipaliwanag bago kayo, ipasa niyo ang sisi at para malihis ang atensyon ng humihingi ng tanong na bakit nagkaganoon. Iniuna niyo pang tirahin ang ibang tao para malihis ang atensyon? Ang pagsasalita ko pong ito ay alang-alang sa milyun-milyong Pilipino na nanonood ng telebisyon at humihingi ng paliwanag... Para lang sa spirit ng fairness, siguro dapat nating ipaliwanag. Kaibigan para sa iyo ito. Explain before you complain. Ganoon lang po iyan,"

"Isa lang ang pakiusap ko kaibigan sa iyo. Pag-aralan mo na magpaliwanag kung may dapat kang ipaliwanag na mga di umano ay mga pagkakamali mo. Dahil pare-pareho tayo ng ginagawa para sa tao. Laging sinasabi mo iyan. Para sa bayan... Kung anuman ang kalabasan ng reaksyon ng tao sa iyo, tanggapin natin,"

"At isa pa, importante sa lahat. Pag-aralan mong umiyak nang may luha. Kasi alam mo madali lang naman lumuha. Kumuha ka ng sibuyas o alcohol, pisikan mo ang mata mo. Alam mo sinusundot mong ganoon. Ayoko namang, masyado mo akong fina-flatter. Baka sabihin ng tao, si Joey siya ang kauna-unahang nagpaiyak ng dugo sa isang tao. Huwag, masakit iyon. Dudugo iyan. Iyon lamang kaibigan,"

"Alam n'yo inuuna n'yo 'yang 'Hello, Garci.' Bakit hindi niyo muna unahin itong 'Hello Papi? Joke lang! Joke "

Both of them have a point regarding this controversy, and it's up to the people kung sino ang nakakuha nang kanilang simpatiya. Network war is far from over! Below is an excerpt of Joey's comment:

“Kung meron kaming sinasabi dito sa aming program (Eat Bulaga!) ito ay para sa mga nanonood sa amin. Alam namin ang hirap ng mga audience para makapasok at manood ng aming programa. Alam din namin ang hirap na pinagdadaanan para makasali sa contest. Kaya dito sa programa namin, sinisigurado namin na malinis, walang hokus pokus, at parehas ang laban ng bawat contestant na sumasali.

"Ngayon, kung may tinamaan kami sa aming mga sinasabi 'bato-bato sa langit ang tamaan ay huwag magagalit.' Wala kaming binabanggit na pangalan o programa. Kaya lang, ang tanong ng tao sa You Tube, sa TV, sa diyaryo, sa radio, at mga taong nag-complain sa DTI: Bakit may dobleng numero sa isang gulong? Iyon ang sagutin mo [Willie]. Ako po nagsimula sa Channel 7 pero wala akong sinabi ni isang masamang salita sa Channel 7 (You think you're such a clean person. If your station is really good, come out with the truth... I started in Channel 7 but I never said a single bad word against it),"
