I haven't been updating this blog for quite sometime, so, what's new in the Philippines so far? Aside from it's New Year, here are some of the Big Bangs as early as January:

1. Jennilyn Mercado got pregnant, with Patrick Garcia as the father
2. PBB Celebrity Season 2 also ended with the and Ruben Gonzaga was nominated as the Big Winner
3. The AGB Nielsen controversy, and the ABS-CBN and GMA Network war (what's new?? )
4. Peso becomes stronger and stronger everyday with 41.3PHP against 1USD as of writing.
5. New shows in ABS-CBN like Maging Sino Ka Man, Pataying Sa Sindak Si Barbara, Lobo, Palos, Kung Fu Kids and Wheel of Fortune.

Those are the top 5 for me... Hopefully, from now on, I will be updating this from time to time. :)

Foreign visitors in the country is six percent more compared to last year. A total 4,024,067 visitors came in the country during the nine-month period up to the end of September. The top visitors are the following:

Americans - 466,086
Koreans - 330,154
Japanese - 261,823
Chinese- 136,223

“The influx of tourists could be partly attributed to the bureau's recent reforms such as the lifting of restrictions on the length of stay of foreign visitors in the country,” Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan said in a statement.

Days since the Glorietta explosion, and still, there's no clear explanations yet on the real reason of the explosion. At first, news reported that it was a bomb explosion, a terrorism act, then, there's a government destabilization, and now, there's a big possibility that it was really an accident, an infrastructure failure of the mall, an accidental gas explosion

Though this is a new angle that experts are trying to look into, terrorism is not ruled out on the scene and still being studied.
